Howard K Stern has won the first round in his defamation suit against Rita Cosby and her publisher Hachette Book Group.
Stern asked for expedited discovery concerning an alleged bribery attempt by Rita Cosby to pay Anna Nicole Smith’s former nannies for an affidavit stating that they viewed Anna Nicole Smith watching a “gay sex tape” in whom the participants are purported to be Howard K Stern and Larry Birkhead.
Judge D.J. Chin who heard the case said that Stern has presented “troubling” evidence that Rita Cosby has sought to improperly influence witnesses.
Rita Cosby’s counsel countered, “Ms Cosby had absolutely no intent to interfere with any witnesses”, and submitted that “when the full evidence comes out in due course, it will be a decidedly different picture”.
Judge Chin’s decision. “Stern’s application for expedited discovery is granted to the extent that expedited discovery is hereby allowed on the issue of whether Cosby attempted to interfere with potential witnesses and the extent and nature of those alleged efforts”.

Will the lawsuits ever end? Probably not.
If the courts find solid-proof that Rita tried to buy off the nannies, there should be hell to pay, for both the publisher and Rita, whom I doubt will ever find a decent job again.
i just read sonmewhere, that she really heard the gay story from Jackie Hatten. Now i have to go see if i can find that. where oh where could it be did anyone else see that???
I read that she has changed her mind three times on the source of her book.

1.Rita changes her story and says a friend of the nannies was her source!
2.Rita caught lying on the O’reilly Factor!!!
She told Oreilly that one of the nannies is her source and would be willing to testify on her behalf. After the sting Rita confessed that She never spoke to the nanny.
3.According to Rita, now Lincoln is the source of her book!!! Respected journalist Rita Cosby said Lincoln said the nanny said she saw the DVD! LOL this is sweet!

I don’t think Rita was ever a ‘respected’ journalist…
I also think that, once upon a time…she tried, and well maybe she just gave up…or gave in…or caved in…to make money.
She was, after all…ambitious, and blond, and a woman…with a ‘low voice.’
