Public records filed February 11th 2008 revealed that a moderator from the website RoseSpeaks was served with a subpoena by attorneys for Virgie Arthur that has been been objected to by Howard K. Stern. The documents were filed in the court case of Virgie Arthur vs Howard K. Stern, CBS Studios and KPRC Houston. Grounds stated for the objection are that notice was not given to Stern concerning the intention to serve the subpoena and that discovery has not yet started in the case. The same discovery argument was stated in Sterns objection to subpoenas served to Rose and Ken Turner who are the owners of the website RoseSpeaks.
Also posted for the same lawsuit were notices that subpoenas were withdrawn for RoseSpeaks two owners and the moderator without prejudice until after the conclusion of the inquest into the death of Daniel Wayne Smith, Virgie Arthur’s grandson. The inquest is scheduled to resume on March 17th.

Looks like the Judge ordered “jurisdictional discovery” in December, 2007 so the subpoena’s were valid. I think it’s rather cute that McCabe put the bloggers on notice that he can and will subpoena thier records at a future date if necessary. He probably already has the jurisdictional information he needs already.
All Stern can do about it now is delay the Inquest as long as possible, which it appears is the tactic that he is now using. If he really care about Daniel and Anna, he would be seeking justice for them as well.
For Daniel, he would not continue to interrupt and delay the proceedings.
For Anna, he would not continue to befriend the doctor who clearly overprescribed the drugs that killed Anna.
His actions speak louder about his so-called “love” (or lack thereof) for the deceased parties, and indicate an agenda that is self-serving at the very least and highly sinister at the very most.

Sounds like a “vanity” publisher in which the author DOES have to pay toward having the book published. And as for not reading the contract they signed and thought it was a draft; who signs a “draft” contract? Are they taking a page out of Larry’s book in not reading what they sign?

O’Quinn bailed? How do you figure? The only people I know of who didn’t have the sense to realize that O’Quinn wasn’t factually calling Howard a murderer are the Sternies. They’ve had their panties in wads and thier faces all red for over a year because they believed O’Quinn accused Howard of murder.
If O’Quinn has “bailed” on anyone, it’s the Sternies. That’s what they get though, for seeing only what they want to see and attacking everyone who isn’t madly in love with HKS.
It seems to me that the only people who took O’Quinn’s words seriously are the Sternies. They’re the ones who’ve had their panties in a bunch for well over a year because they refused to believe that O’Quinn wasn’t factually accusing Howard of murder. From the very beginning it has been “argued” by myself and others that this lawsuit was bogus from the get-go as O’Quinn was merely speaking on behalf of his Client, as many lawyers do. It’s not defamation, and Stern will lose. Remember the one statement by O’Quinn: “My Client believes….and I agree”. We’ve been saying it all along.
It’s only those that support Stern that believe that O’Quinn defamed Stern because it is THEY who took O’Quinn’s words and took them too seriously. EVERY GOOD lawyer will represent their Client with such “spin”. OJ’s lawyers, MJ’s lawyers, they are all the same when they speak to the media. You, the viewer, determine what you wish to believe.
But, again, note his words: “My Client believes…..and I agree”. Case Closed. Stern loses. It’s been fun..lol

I just came from HOH’s board and I must say, I’m not shocked. Rosie and the Romantics are at it again and what beats all is I haven’t found a single Sternie that has done any real research into this case. All they have are superficial opinions on what others have said….not what they have determined on their own. Pretty pathetic, in my opinion. At least here on QV’s site, there are some who seem proud of the research they have done and have drawn educated opinions. Thank you, QV, for the forum to speak our minds.
