Things have finally settled down at least for awhile in the Anna Nicole Smith chronicle. The message boards that are active more or less seem to be rehashing the same old news and the same old arguments. Save for a stray bit of drama or attempts to sensationalize trivial matters.
The announcement from Howardsville that IP numbers were being collected and bloggers who slander Howard K Stern will be held accountable, seemed to make people wonder just who is watching what hen house. It was the beginning of a cooling off period that is now seen internet wide. A professional journalist abruptly stopped his coverage of this story and many familiar nick names are not heard from anymore.
Then the first subpoena for an internet blogger was served and revealed, although not exactly in that order. It seemed to send even more of a hush though out our communities. The bloggers themselves that are so aptly called the “Sterniods” and the “Antinoids” on the large celeb gossip site TMZ have shrunk in numbers as well. By the way, whomever invented those monikers was spot on. My observation in this story is that either you are for Howard K. or against him. I can see three trains of thought most prevalent out there. Pro-Virgie, pro Howard or anti-Howard.
So, what was to come reaching into the depths of the Anna Nicole internet neighborhood, was quite poetic. It was “who” in particular, ended up with the subpoenas after IP threats and the creation of the “wall of shame”. After the publication of the story of this website and what was going on behind the scenes it should be no surprise.
Anyone that was worried and thought that their first amendment rights were in danger by the likes of Neil McCabe or L. Lin Wood can relax. Blog on. What lawyers are looking for are not bloggers but people that have taken their involvement in this case to the depths of inviting actionable consequences. There are just a small handful, but they exist.
The lack of activity has been nice for me. I got mine and some family member’s income taxes filed and a couple of projects done around the house. My point is, if you are tired of the story, by all means step back. I have to an extent. Just be sure to check in every once in awhile so we don’t lose touch. And it goes without saying that we will gather for activities and happenings worthy of comment. But if you have fear that you are going to attract a subpoena for simply expressing your opinion, it’s not going to happen.

I think most people will be back from time to time when there is real news to discuss. Not much point in stating the same things over and over again unless you just like to argue.

I agree with your comment RestofStory. And I can not imagine why some people get a charge out of arguing. Sometimes its necessary, but I would prefer to avoid it if humanly possible.
It is really funny to me that the only people trying to make Howard innocent are the ones on the site that is in support of BDSM. I don’t worry at all about what I post. I don’t say anything I can’t support and I love this site and will continue to support it as long as it is here.

My goal isn’t to argue or shut people up. Although, there are people like that on both sides. I also am a member of Rose’s site and it does not support BDSM. Rose had a porn free adult site and I saw it myself. Unless there is something I’m missing there was never any porn and people took the fact that it was an “adult” site to be something completely different. There was a site made by someone using very disgusting pictures and they were trying to pretend it Roses but it wasn’t. I’m not here to
with anyone and have said why I’m here many times but really, the whole porn thing, it’s old and worn out. If they did have one, which to my knowledge that’s not what it was, then it’s no ones business but theirs.

This is a wonderful post, QV. I for one am glad to see things settle down for a while. It bothers me to think there are actually people on the net and in the world who are as cruel and hate-filled as the ones we’ve seen recently. I’ll be here, there, and everywhere until the end, gathering and storing information about everything that is going on with Daniel and Anna. Also taking lots of vitamin C for the parasites that will rear their heads in March.

Honestly, I would post more if there was a logical post to respond too. But, some of the stuff that is being posted now-a-days just leaves me scratching my head and wondering what the heck are they even trying to say and why are they saying it.
I will say that I think all of the “Anti-Stern” and “Pro-Virgie” posters are in all actuality Pro-Justice posters. I do not believe one of these people want HKS railroaded they only want him to answer some very troubling questions and they want the true facts presented in a fair manner.
They just want TRUTH and JUSTICE….

I hope that the focus of these investigations turn back to the true facts of the cases and the bloggers will be left to do what bloggers do best…freely express their thoughts. That is what blog sites are for…otherwise, I guess we could all put our keyboards to rest and enjoy our daily dose of propaganda.

Nice post QV. Like Carole I’m into this to the bitter end. Since day one, my interest has been to find the truth about Daniel’s death. There’s one person alive that could still tell us that. Will he, I’m not so sure. Hiring as many lawyers as he has, from the criminal atty. in Fla., to Krista Barth and Lin Wood, speaks volumes that Howie is trying as hard as he can to mask the truth. Pitiful that its all on DL’s dime.

The Anna Nicole Story seems to draw two diametrically different mindsets both of which believe their positions correct.
The pro Sterns continue to hold to the “prove it” or else it didn’t happen while believing that the end always justifies the means. They applaud and support the lifestyle of a quintessential grifter who holds others hostage by his ability to manipulate and control both the court system and the media. It is a sad but true commentary on how little value they place on virtue, truth and justice.
I agree with Tropicana that those that advocate on Mrs. Arthur’s behalf and/or are anti-Stern do so because it is their core belief that Truth is being silenced and justice is being denied. This case, much like the OJ Simpson case, makes a mockery of all that we hold dear and value most. Truth silenced and justice denied hurts us all at the deepest soul level.
That is where my interest in this case rests….at the soul level. Getting out of my own way and allowing truth to lead me requires only my willingness to not engage at the level of Rosie and the Romantics. It is not my voice but the voice of Truth that demands to be heard.
Thankfully you have provided a much needed and appreciated place for just that purpose!

Like all of you, I want to know who is culpable, not only in Daniel’s death, but Anna’s as well. My interest does not end with the inquest for Daniel.
I eagerly anticipate the results of the CA AG’s investigation into the Doctors and anyone else who should be held responsible for Anna’s death. And I’m still not sure the SAME Doctors are not involved in Daniel’s death. There are so many irons in the fire on these 2 tragedies–something has GOT to be done, IMO.
As for the “bitchin’ boards” at TOPIX & TMZ….I am not ashamed to say I have taken full advantage of the opportunity to voice my opinion (and sometimes in a vile manner, myself). Just my way of venting for the blatant disrespect we have all received on the boards since all this happened by certain posters. And let me tell you, it feels GREAT to be able to “put it back to ‘em”.
I will continue to daily monitor this wonderful forum QV has given us and thank her for the documents she makes readily available to all of us.

Such a pleasure to revisit this site this afternoon and see many who are of the same mind. Its truth we are wanting, and not the lies and distortions we have been fed. Dee, this is how somebody explained it to me:
McCabe already filed a response to HKS motion to dismiss for lack of personal jurisdiction. McCabe requested permission from the judge to amend his last response and was granted. That what the current document is.
So McCabe may be planning to use the Stern Bloggers. I hope he does.
I have been watching the chats and it must be close to the inquest and when the law does something on the Drs in CA. People are getting so desperate for information that they are getting mean and are putting peoples names and addresses on web pages.

I hope McCabe brings the bloggers in to court and make them testify under oath. Some people testified under oath in Judge Siedlins court and lied. Does anybody know this man? I am sure he has lied other places too.

I will also be with this story until the end. I’m saddened to feel that the inquest will not get to the bottom of what really happened to Daniel. Too much time has passed and witnesses are disappearing. I do not believe that Daniel’s death was a ‘tragic accident’ as those that support HKS do.
There are so many question I want to see Stern answer in a court of law and I believe it will happen. A big thank you to QV for answering some of the questions a lot of us had. It’s wonderful to finally know what many people suspected all along was true.
Reality check? I don’t think so. I’ve been around this saga from the start and know that your version of reality isn’t anywhere I’d care to be.

I also wonder why Ms. Barth went with HKS to the recent service in the Bahamas on the anniversary of ANS’s death. Seems odd that she’d leave her husband and children to travel with a man that is her client. I’m not aware of her being licensed to practice law in the Bahamas, so I doubt she was there in any legal capacity.
