A history making document concerning the Anna Nicole Smith story was filed today in the defamation lawsuit, Virgie Arthur vs Howard K. Stern, CBS Studios, INC. and KPRC Houston.
Arthur’s attorneys today requested to add additional defendants to the suit. Those persons/entities are as listed in the filing, Bonnie Stern, the sister of Howard K. Stern, TMZ Productions, Inc. and its managing editor Harvey Levin, Nelda Turner the owner of the website RoseSpeaks and Art Harris an Atlanta, Georgia based professional journalist. Arthur’s attorney Neil McCabe of the O’ Quinn Law Firm is asking the court to add the additional parties by March 28, 2008.
The document lists as related cases, Howard K. Stern vs John O’ Quinn and The O’ Quinn Law Firm which is also a defamation case that is being adjudicated in the US District Court, Southern District of Florida. Also, Howard K. Stern vs Rita Cosby and Hatchette Book Group which is being heard in the US District Court, Southern District of New York.
Attorneys for Arthur anticipate taking oral depositions from Howard K. Stern, Bonnie Stern, Art Harris, Harvey Levin, Nelda Turner, Mark Steines, the producer and crew of the Entertainment Tonight show, the corporate rep for CBS and the corporate rep for KPRC. Others may be identified later.
Attorneys for Howard K. Stern led by L. Linn Wood anticipate deposing Virgie Arthur and certain relatives and friends of Vicky Lynn Marshall (aka Anna Nicole Smith) and also may identify others later on that they wish to depose.
Discovery beyond initial disclosures for the purpose of establishing personal jurisdiction have been a deposition taken by Howard K. Stern. There are additional subpoenas anticipated to be issued to Nelda Turner, Kenneth Turner, Lyndal Harrington and Teresa Stephens for the purpose of conducting jurisdictional discovery. The defendants reserve their right to object to those subpoenas.
CBS and KPRC are open to mediation to resolve the matter but at this time, Stern does not believe the dispute between himself and Arthur can be resolved in that manner.

You want to compair what Vergie has made in comparison to the 12yr salary and luxuries HKS has reaped during his leeching time off of Anna and her fame.
The poor woman lost her son and during that time it was HKS and family that did the bidding … after Anna lost the battle to heartbreak HKS CONTINUED to reap the rewards of his leaching as though his pay day had finally arrived iwthout the Marshall stamp print on his forehead.
So if we care to compair who made more off of what .. lets be honest of HKS has leached over the years and take a true look at the battle of dollars and cents and what truly lays as the reason for each party to go forth.
Lets be realistic Vergie can be given 5grand and be satisfied … whereas HKS would scoff at the idea of what he thinksthe value is on the image he assumes he created .. gimme a break .. two different lifestyles and two different reasons.

And as the inquest resumes tomorrow, you would think if Ray Martino is so afraid of flying, Howie would pop over and pick him up on his attorney’s, er, that is, Crackers LTD boat! I wonder if Ray got the nerve to fly to FL to sign those directorship papers with regard to the so-called Anna and Daniel Memorial foundation? Someone needs to tell him there are boats to the Baha’s.

I think it’s ludicrous to believe that Howard didn’t know about drug interactions. He is an educated man. Stupid does not pass the bar. He was attached to Anna like a tick for over 20 years, and I’m sure he’s seen her overindulge many times. Larry says even Howard participated (you remember him, his current best bud forever/). Both Jack Harding and Mark Hatten say Howard gave drugs to people other than Anna. That sounds like a pusher to me. There are videos of Howards eyes so red they look like they’re bleeding. Good grief, I’m sure he can’t expect us to liken him to Bill Clinton stupidity(I didn’t inhale, I didn’t know it was sex)….well, the second part maybe.
I’m not sure why Bill Clinton was brought into the conversation, but I do agree with the comment that Howard seems a little shady when he insists that he was unaware that he was giving Anna enough drugs for an Army. He must be able to read, and he obviously uses a computer and the information is there for the picking. Stupidity is no excuse for what he did.

Correction LB’s recollection is hazy from the statement he made before to the police. Virgie Arthur and Billy Smith’s attorney questioned him on this.
Larry Birkhead also said that he was concerned about Smith taking drugs while she was pregnant.

The problem I see here is that no where is QV listed in this conspiricy. QV put up the article on her web site. This very one and TMZ picked it up from there when someone lead them to it. QV you were very wrapped up in all that is listed in the papers. You lead the charge. I just don’t understand the difference now except that you are working with Virgie and O’Quinn now and if this goes through, it leave the door wide open of Lin Wood to come after your hard drive and your phone records to prove conspiracy to defame against HKS. I don’t like to argue. I don’t like to fight but in all that has been posted here, I felt that needed to be included. After all, doesn’t everyone want the whole truth and nothing but the truth?
Hi Uh oh, the TMZ article did not come from me. The person that submitted it to TMZ claimed responsibility on the old blog. Many that were there saw it. Also, I dont think the latest filings are about one news article anyway.
I don’t know how the law works in this unique situation but I suppose if Wood thinks that he needs to depose me or wants my records, he will do the same as McCabe has done with the Howard supporters. I have no problem with it if it happens either. I have nothing to hide. So I guess just leave it up to the professionals and see what happens.
