After being given instructions on what could be deliberated upon in the inquest into the death of Daniel Smith in the Bahamas, the jury told the magistrate that they were not satisfied with the choices. They then requested transcripts from the testimony to use in their deliberations. The magistrate also refused that request.
With no satisfactory options left for them, the jury came back with a verdict of “Non Dependant Drug Use”. No further details are available at this time.

I don’t know how many of you are following the Wecht Trial. I think one of the reasons Daniel’s inquest went the way it did is because of Wecht’s dirty rotten $80,000.00 autopsy report that was very dishonest about what really killed Daniel. It was not a combination of the medications in his system as it was not a combination of drugs that killed Anna! Chloral Hydrate killed Anna and Methadone killed Daniel. True they both had many other drugs in their system but they both had a death dose of the drug that actually killed them.
The jury has lost one juror that had to be released because of a medical condition that was agitated by the stress of deliberating on the 41 cases against Wecht. The jury is continuing deliberations without a 12th juror although there are alternates. The judge ruled that they could continue deliberating without add an alternate because the jury would have to start deliberating all over again to catch the alternate up to speed. The jury only needs 10 jurors. The defense as filed an objection and the prosecution has responded. The judge has not ruled on the objection as of yet.
Today the jury sent a request to the judge. They wanted to know if there are any exhibits they do not have for Count 32, a wire fraud charge. They said that the do have that they had a fax that was entered for one date but not the fax for the second date. The defense wanted to send a confusing message back to the jury but the judge ruled in favor of the prosecution and sent a message as to the date when the fax was introduced.
These poor jurors have 10,000 pages of evidence to peruse and 41 counts to ponder. I believe that they are trying very hard to come up with an honest verdict for all of the cases.
I hope they send this man to prison for a very long time because I believe he has caused an incredible disservice to Daniel by watering down the autopsy report. The man is not a crack forensic scientist but a quake forensic scientist.

Dang, I may have posted a little early. The Jury has sent a note to the judge stating they are hopelessly deadlocked. The judge said that he is going to poll each one of the jurors and ask them to continue deliberating.
Thanks for the update mrs Marple. I agree I hope they stick him with 41 guilty verdicts.

Jason Cato, Pittsburg Tribune reports, “The jurors in the federal public corruption trial of former Allegheny County Coroner Dr. Cyril H. Wecht have indicated they are deadlocked on all counts, but will return Monday to try a final time to reach a unanimous verdict.”
Sounds like a possible mistrial to me. Dang it!

With all do respect your comment about burying Anna in a tiara and mocking “ding dong the witch is dead”(Howard) is not correct. I think she was buried with it because she was a “Princess” and that is why .

Hey everyone. In the legal documents section are the lastest filed today by CBS and Stern. They are objecting to Rose being added as a defendant. I suppose they are afraid that would establish jurisdiction for Virgie. That is the only reason that I can think of they would object to her only and not Harris, Levin and TMZ.

Vikie Lynn’s mother explained on tv how she called herself different names at different times, depending on what state of mind she was in.
Vickie used the name ‘Nikki’ early in her career…which is documented in all of her biographies.
That same link mentions it:

I can’t help but wonder why anyone would ever be ‘jealous’ of such a LOSER as ANS. As soon as she got involved with Stern her career went to the dogs and she went down hill until the day she died, even being designated as ‘white trash’ in the international press.
No one is jealous of a virtually broke has been who has a major drug problem whose face and body were disfigured by cosmetic surgeries.
When she was in High School she was very pretty but all the years of debauchery took their toll. Being infamous for being a gold digger, an addict, a sex offender and much more is nothing to be envious of in my view.
