All the worming, back peddling and attempting to shift the blame today is only digging the hole deeper and showing proof positive. They seem to have learned well how to ‘appear/sound’ today….from the top of the ladder! IMO

Thank you, QV, for being who you are. You have my respect for being the better person. It seems no one else had the backbone…but maybe now, more who feel the same, will find theirs.

Larry said Howard gave anna a lot of drugs and said all kinds of things before he got the baby, Now he says just the opposite and he said it under oath the same as Howard.

I personally have to comment on some comments here …
Firstly YES QV was one of the first to step back and rethink her position but that does not mean she is the only one … For one that has been around this saga and this site since the beginning days I could list a huge amount of ppl that have walked away shaking their heads and still full of questions, as well as some intriguing others that have stepped back and taken their own stand …
The bottom line would be : CAN YOU FACE YOURSELF IN THE MIRROR …
As much as public opinion and perception accounts for a vast impression to many degrees of the world including the justice system .. But one must realize that an opinion is something everyone has .. a WORTHY opinion steams from not only education but also a bit of self restraint when voicing such arises …
It becomes quite concerning when a group of ppl swarm together and start their stomp and shouts and yet have nothing but excuses and assumptions to back them up.
BUT as it stands now with the many that circle here and out there in internet land many have FINALLY not only taken their stand but also WAITED until they had their thirst for facts and truths quenched BEFORE putting voice ot it ..
So as the romantics spin in circles and excuse their own but crucify the others for the SAME DAMN thing … Those with a proud sense of HONOR and keen sense of deduction to seperate the BS from the BULL see the excuses and quietly await the TRUE justice to take down the liars thieves and thugs …
What goes around comes around .. and as we point out those that need to catch a clue we have to ensure we have the clue we need before pointing ;)
Sorry for the rant and rave and a lil bit of stomping .. hopefully some of this makes sense and those whom know me can read between the lines and know the TRUE message … I have kept my silence for quite some time .. a time will come when many get the shock of their lives realizing the fences they perched upon were nothing more then rotted stumps … infested with all they have thrown at others ….

12 Carole April 12, 2008 at 12:18 AM: Of course there is perjury, not only in Howard’s deposition, but in both the Florida and Bahamian courts. The evidence is overwhelming, and as I understand it committing perjury in a jailable offense. Howard lied from the start when he said he was Dannielynn’s father. And he continued to say it even though he KNEW Anna was trying to escape the clutches of Larry and his threats to have her and the baby tested for drugs, and even after Anna approached Ben Thompson and asked him to sign the birth certificate as the baby’s father. Howard was Anna’s third and last choice, and it’s very telling that she didn’t turn to him first.
We know that he lied on the stand in Florida when he said the drugs were NOT in his name. After saying that he gave Anna her drugs personally so that she wouldn’t overdose, he says he knows nothing about the amount of methadone she was taking while pregnant, but it was probably less than 1 mg per day. Then why in the world was such a large quantity shipped by Kapoor, and why did Dr. E said she needed a veritable drug store in order to “knock her out?” Howard knows it took a LOT or drugs to know the drug addicted Anna out! My understanding is from Don Clarks interview on Scared Monkeys that Howard or “someone” pointed the finger of blame at Anna who was no longer here to defend herself. He said he’s done no drugs since college days when he toked a little, but there are multitudes of people stating that they saw him and Anna doing drugs. This is the tip of the lying iceburg….and then to say he had never heard of Havana….gotcha! Hi Lin, the boy needs acting lessons.

But when you are 8 months pregnant, you don’t run like Anna did in the video, unless you are “unaware” of the danger, or unless you believed you had already delivered your baby.

You know, Wood has done essentially the same thing as Howie is accusing OQuinn of doing. Several of the statements Wood made on Greta were outright defamatory against John O’Quinn. I guess envy justifies it….Lin Wood will never be the same calibur of man as John O’Quinn or Neil McCabe.

I distinctly remember reading something to the effect that Larry was more than he seemed to be because he does come from a well-to-do family. But he wasn’t not excluded from the attempt to smear. If I were Larry, there would be no way I’d cover for Howie. It makes me want to think that there is some credibility to the claim that Larry was literally the “sperm donor” and that Howie has the signed non-disclosure agreement to totally discredit what little credibility remains with Larry.

If she is innocent why would you need a lawyer just to tell what you have said or wrote. Of course I have read some of it and most of it is bad about Virgie, McCabe and O’Quinn.

Anna Nicole Smith’s mom sues over ET interview

Lawyers wrangled over jurisdictional issues in federal court Friday in the early stages of what promises to be a drawn-out legal battle between Anna Nicole Smith’s mother and those she allege defamed and conspired against her.
Attorneys for Smith’s mother, Virgie Arthur, argued that the lawsuit should be held in state court, where it was filed.
The defendants — which include KPRC-TV, CBS Studios Inc. and Howard Stern, Smith’s former lawyer and companion at the time of her death — want it to be moved to federal court.
U.S. District Judge Lee Rosenthal will continue to hear arguments on the matter, which could be resolved within a few weeks.
Wherever it is heard, Arthur will seek to prove that statements made by her daughter on Entertainment Tonight, a syndicated television show distributed by CBS, were defamatory.
Smith, born Vickie Lynn Marshall, said on the show that Arthur had physically abused her as a child. Smith died of an accidental drug overdose last year.
Arthur, who lives in Montgomery County, also is suing Stern, claiming he encouraged Smith to make defamatory statements and arranged the Entertainment Tonight interview.
In an amended complaint in which her attorneys seek to add defendants, Arthur claims Stern also engaged in a subsequent conspiracy using Internet bloggers and various Web sites to destroy her reputation.
The conspiracy was a response to Arthur’s opposition to Stern being granted custody of Smith’s infant daughter, Dannielynn, Arthur alleges. Custody ultimately was given to the baby’s biological father, Larry Birkhead.
“Using the latest in electronic communication and jumping into the blogosphere, the conspirators set out to destroy Virgie,” the amended complaint alleges. “(They) spent hours in front of their computers desperate to find what they considered Virgie Arthur dirt. … Their goal was simple and straightforward — to destroy anyone that was opposed to Howard K. Stern or his interest.”
One of Arthur’s lawyers, Neil McCabe, said she did not sue Smith’s estate for defamation because doing so could create the impression that she was trying to profit at Dannielynn’s expense.
“We had to make a strategic and tactical decision,” McCabe said. “We would have been pilloried in the press if we had sued the estate. We can’t be perceived as taking money away from the child.”
In Friday’s hearing, which did not deal with any merits of the case, lawyers for KPRC argued that it merely aired the Entertainment Tonight episode according to contractual obligations, and bears no legal liability for its contents.
KPRC’s attorney, Charles Babcock, said the television station had no prior knowledge of its contents and no involvement in the story’s preparation.
One key element of the case is whether Arthur should be considered a public figure. If she is, then she will be required to show the defendants acted with actual malice, typically a difficult burden to overcome. Actual malice requires knowledge that the contents of the broadcast were false and defamatory or a reckless disregard of the truth.

HOUSTON — Anna Nicole Smith’s mother, already suing her daughter’s former lawyer over claims she was an abusive parent, is now accusing him of helping spread false rumors that she was involved in incestuous and immoral relationships.

Attorneys for Howard K. Stern denied the claims in court Friday.

In November, Virgie Arthur filed a lawsuit against Stern, claiming that after she expressed concern about the safety of Smith and her daughter, Dannielynn, he arranged an “Entertainment Tonight” interview in which Smith said her mother was complicit in sexual and physical abuse Smith suffered as a child.

Arthur also sued Houston television station and NBC affiliate KPRC, which aired the program on Feb. 14, 2007, and CBS Studios, which produces the program.

Arthur, who lives in Montgomery County just north of Houston, says Stern, KPRC and CBS subjected her to public hatred and contempt by injuring her reputation.

Smith, a former Playboy playmate, died on Feb. 8, 2007, in Florida from an overdose of prescription drugs, a week before the program aired.

During a court hearing Friday, Arthur’s attorneys said that since filing the lawsuit, they have learned about additional efforts to defame their client that are connected to the “Entertainment Tonight” interview and asked U.S. District Judge Lee Rosenthal to let them add more defendants to the case.

Neil McCabe, one of Arthur’s attorneys, accused Stern of having his sister Bonnie and a Texas woman named Rose Turner, who runs a celebrity gossip Web site, spread a false story that his client had a child with her stepbrother when she was a teenager.

Luke Lantta, one of Stern’s attorneys, denied his client was part of any conspiracy to defame Arthur.

“There is no support to their theory,” he said. “I’m still waiting for the e-mail or documentation that shows Stern directing his sister. You won’t find it.”

William Ogden, Turner’s attorney, said his client is simply a blogger who posts documents on her Web site about celebrity court cases, she doesn’t know Howard Stern and wasn’t part of any conspiracy to defame Arthur.

Charles Babcock, an attorney for KPRC and CBS Studios, said if Arthur is deemed to be a public figure, then KPRC cannot be held responsible under the Constitution for the broadcast.

What’s the driving force behind all of this?

We all know Howard is innocent, and the mother Virgie and Father Larry must be feeling pretty guilty…

Yet, we make a scene and can’t forgive htos human failings…

Seeems Virgie lost contact because she didn’t have enough money.

And, now I dont’ much like her lawyer(s)…

Because if there’s a will there’s a way…no matter how outnumbered you are.

But she selected not to fight to know her grandson or her daughter for that matter, and maybe time just got the best of her.

Ain’t so bad just to be, a small town sheriff….while the rest of your family pursues ‘Hollywood’ maybe.

If I were her, I’d just remember the good times and tell the lawyers to get lost.

Be smarter Momma Virgie, settle down and tell them where to go.

Seems ‘They’ve all been a bunch of leeches’ wanting to know all about you and your whole family, not just the ‘skin’ but from the ‘inside.’

I really wish for once in your life you knew how much you mean…
And, just wish you’d suddenly vanish from all of this…

You know you can’t take ‘it’ with you…so you might as well tell them to leave you the heck alone, like Billy, and get the heck out of Texas.’

And, when they keep coming back, tell ‘The Media’ that they are just trying to make money off of you and yours.

Hope you now know that Howard was innocent, at least.

But, maybe you need a break from all of this.
