You Are My Sunshine
My only sunshine.
You make me happy
When skies are grey.
You’ll never know, dear,
How much I love you.
Please don’t take my sunshine away

~~~~~~~~
In Florida, a day which was gray and rainy, a meter reader went into the woods and found the remains of little Caylee. We now know it wasn’t the first time he was there at that location.For whatever reason, curiosity, instinct or divine intervention he was pulled to that location and found her.
Caylee may have lived a very short life but she has brought many people together. The amount of interest in her disappearance soared nationwide. The amount of love and support for her is immeasurable. The numbers of searches, volunteers and donations trying to find this child and bring her home is countless.
In my opinion, Caylee wanted to be found and home at rest for Christmas. I think she wanted peace for those searching for her and a Christmas gift for them from her. No one can imagine what her final hours were like but hopefully she will be at peace by being found.
Most people knew and felt that it was her remains even without the official acknowledgement. When it was finally confirmed it was her, the deep sadness could be felt for miles around. That last bit of hope that maybe she was still out there alive was smothered and the reality of what happened set in.
For the searchers and LE it must have been a bittersweet moment in confirming what they already knew. The search for Caylee is over but the seach for justice is just beginning. Her life was meant more to strangers than the person who threw her away like garbage.
Regardless of what surrounds the family, they have lost a child. Their sadness and grief must be beyond comprehension at this time and unbearable. Their hope in finding an alive Caylee may have seemed absurd to some especially with the evidence already known, but I tend to think it was a way for them to be able to deal with day to day life. Without that hope keeping them going they might not be able to function at all. I am compassionate and sympathetic to their loss but not about the impeding of justice to find out what happened to Caylee.
It is time to honor Caylee’s life and put the truth in the spotlight at all cost. Her life ending may have been very tragic but her meaning of life was much more to those who never knew her but touched them deeply. I have no doubt that there will be some type of memorial honoring her life because of the impact she has had on so many people and mine included.
In rememberance of Caylee Marie Anthony, may you forever rest in peace.
Each tear that is shed is a tear of love for you. Welcome home baby girl and Merry Christmas. You will never be forgotten.
why would a mother kill her little girl? Couldn’t she have given her up for adoption or they have a place to give children up now. Breaks my heart
I can’t even bear to watch the news on Caylee right now. Poor little baby
Is Lee the father of the girl?
Did grandparents try to hide that family secret and lied?
Jill, I have had that same question. There seems to be something the family has been hiding. Something tells me this is going to be an interesting case.
Bless, little Caylee, she deserved to be able to spread her sunshine throughout her life. Her song was cut short, way to short.
What a beautiful article. My heart breaks for that poor little girl for what she must have gone through. While I believe Casey is responsible and should be held accountable to the fullest degree I believe that she was chloroformed perhaps just to be put asleep but instead died and for that in a way I’m thankful if that is the way she went as I believe it would have been peaceful. I still am angry over that because bottom line she should not be gone but feel even more anger if in fact that was the case because instead of having a proper funeral and burial for this beautiful little girl for those who really loved her they are reduced to knowing that there is nothing but bones.
Dove, Your article gave me chills. I thought the same thing. Caylee wanted to be home for Christmas. The poor thing.
My heart is broken for her.
Everyone have a Merry Christmas!
How do you tell that man that she is gone?
I was watching NG tonight with Jesse, you could tell he loved Caylee so much.
QV great article.
My heart just breaks when I see her or think about her. I cannot fathom what that little girl went thru. It’s sad to think she was tossed away like a bag of trash.
Poor darling, GOD wanted her home to take her away from that horrible mother. Merry Christmas Caylee Marie.
Did you delete my crude comments, QV?
Seems someone was once-upon-a-time thoughtful enough to give this little baby a unique spelling for her very first name, although she’s just a memory now, so sad.
Christmas is too, when you really think about it. Yet, we have Easter to make up for ‘all that,’ don’t we?
So, I wonder if ‘The Media’ will drop this story, too?
Seems that’s what ‘they’ usually do…just say ‘Grace’ and be done with it?
Very nicely written article, Von.
Hi Anon California. Our friend Dove wrote this article. I agree she does a great job too :-)
I’m for ‘zoning laws,’ even…eventually on ‘this internet.’
Probably gonna’ keep a lot of ‘interns’ busy, and candles burning all night.
What a mother should be, is never to be a human animal without a flaw.
Reminds me of a seamstress, and a cook, and a musician, and a lot of honest, to goodness, hard work.
Reminds me of that Chinese kitchen and the woks.
Reminds me of that Authentic whole-in-the-wall restaurant where those immigrants worked…darn near the best “Good Eats” I ever did partake of.
Reminds of my Dog…she just came in from the cold and she’s giving me all the faith she has to inspire me.
I think she knows, without knowing, like it’s innate and just natural to care for and be cared for.
Until the end.
Throw away the key.
Just throw them in a cage.
Never mind the aftermath…ain’t no such thang as rehab…
Just ask Jane!!!
Be very, careful of your associates…
Birds of a feather?
Seems there’s no ‘how to book for dummies’ on being a parent.
Wonder who’s gonna write that one…
I can only imagine the first edition…
Might be the ‘Old Testament’ or maybe the “King James” version…
Lot’s of good stuff to read.
And reading is easy.
