TMZ Breaks Anna Nicole and Daniel Smith Grave Monument Story

by QV on 12/12/2008

in Anna Nicole Smith, Art Harris, Daniel Smith, Larry Birkhead, Vickie Lynn Marshall

Something that Anna Nicole and Daniel Smith fans have been complaining about for almost two years finally has been resolved. Daniel Smith was buried in the Bahamas after he died of an “unintentional drug overdose. His body laid in a funeral home 39 days before he was buried.

His mother, Anna Nicole Smith died five months later at the Hard Rock Hotel in Hollywood Florida of an “accidental overdose”.

Its been over two years and three months since Daniel was laid to rest. His mother Anna Nicole has been gone almost two years.

Finally,  Anna Nicole (Vicky Lynn Marshall) and Daniel Wayne Smith have been honored by the placement of a beautiful memorial stone.

Someone was kind enough to leave the link to Louisville, Kentucky based Evans Monument Company that made the “black” granite stone. Louisville Kentucky is the home town of Anna Nicole’s daughter, Dannielynn’s father, Larry Birkhead. TMZ reports that Larry and Howard K. Stern stood together during an unveiling ceremony for the memorial.

TMZ is carrying a photo and short piece about the 6 x 5 foot black granite stone that “covers” both of the graves. Anna Nicole’s late husband J. Howard Marshall’s ashes were also placed into the grave and the memorial stone carries his name as well.

Please refer back to a story which was done on this site concerning seemingly inaccurate stories about this issue. While fans are happy that the Smiths finally have a memorial on their grave, there were a lot of conflicting stories circulating about plans for the stone which was originally announced by Art Harris who said a “7 x8 foot pink granite stone was being searched for”.

Anna would have loved the stone, and I think Daniel would have been shyly pleased also. Thank heavens it wasn’t an “overthetop” memorial stone.
I guess two years late is better than never, yet neither of them should be lying dead in a foreign country. Daniel should be alive and learning to be an entity on his own, and Anna should be alive, sober and raising her young daughter.

Shudda, Cudda, Wooda…

Anna was Vickie,
She probably was dieing of cancer or something, and her son Daniel knew.

Guess we’ll never know the truth.

Meanwhile, at least we get to watch a very pretty princess grow up before our very eyes, I guess.

Better than those people in Florida discovering bones.

It’s not a foreign country…it’s a beautiful island.

You know Cuba is, too!!!

Except for hurricanes…and those ‘un-named’ storms…and all that rain…

Makes for nice fruits and vegetables as long as your timing and Mother Nature doesn’t make a difference…but she does.

Sure is nice to think in pastels…instead of doomsday junk.

Hope you are all okay, no matter what ‘side’ you’re on.

Of course, I’ve just fallin’ in love with this…

The Media and the Mystery…

Just a bunch of over-educated morons…making money.

TMZ inserted HKS by default, i don’t think he was with Larry in the Bahamas.
Of course TMZ is always there for Birkhead’s exclusive stories.Nobody else cares for that loser.

Char what makes you so sure Stern was not in the Bahas with Larry for the stone placing? Just curious.

Freida…………….I miss your wit and funny chatter. Your outlook is so refreshing. I wanted to let you know that my owls came back. I love to hear them at night. You take care and have a wonderful holiday season this year!

Your right, it is a gorgeous island! I would love to go to Cuba one day. It looks gorgeous too. But I will wait until it is safer to travel there.

QV, thanks for posting that. It is a beautiful memorial and glad that it’s FINALLY done! It is tastefully done I have to admit.

Forgot to ask. Does anyone know what the encryptions say under each name. It’s kind of hard to read (need stronger glasses.)

_______________

Under Anna’s name

“I love you more than all the fishies in the sea”

Under Daniel’s

“I love you more than all the raindrops in the sky”

Thanks Mish.

That was sweet, and thoughtful, too!!!

You know I’d much rather be in the Bahamas right now, more than Texas…although I’ve never been to Texas…but know some people that live there.

Some aren’t even legal, if you know what I mean.

They probably would be, but they can’t afford it, and their families are worth more to them.

The Owls have gone out to the country for the winter, I think. Hope they’re back in Spring, even if I’m long gone by then.

Might be moving West eventually, and I’m not really looking forward to it, yet I am more and more each day.

You’d have to know ‘the circumstances’ to understand.

It is a pretty stone, so we’ll hopefully never forget…

How beautiful that Mom and her son really were…and how absolutely adorable her daughter and boyfriend (?) and lawyer are.

And, really Virgie is pretty cute, too…don’t you think. She looks darn good for her age and all of those babies she had…

MY GOSH!!!

Dear QV,
Give credit where it’s due…

You really should have a ‘link’ to that story about the ‘Pink Stone’ by Art Harris.

13 freida1 December 14, 2008 at 8:26 PM

Hey, at least I’ve got blonde ‘highlights’ rather than those dreadful ‘red ones.’

LOL

14 freida1 December 14, 2008 at 8:28 PM

Reminds me of “Smashing Pumpkins.”

15 freida1 December 14, 2008 at 8:49 PM

Don’t really even need to understand or how to read, if you are intuitive.

Read that backwords for the jist of it.

Hey, I thought that was cool…is that still a ‘neat’ word?

I’m young at heart, at least…

Darn heart…it’s just a pump, right?

“Smashing Pump-kin”

Pay no attention to me I’m just typing.

16 freida1 December 14, 2008 at 8:58 PM

“Meanwhile Back In The Jungle”

Poor Jane, is ‘literally’ writing for a living…

But, Lord knows I can’t go back there…

even if, “Indiana” doesn’t want me.

And, that has absolutely nothin’ to do with this…

But it was fun typing it and thinking it up.

17 freida1 December 14, 2008 at 9:29 PM

The hardest thing is learning how to share.

Actually and literally.

Nice that Larry and Howard are possibly working together for charity…instead of buying a great, big headstone.

18 Anonymous December 15, 2008 at 8:45 PM

I’ve read the press release that was released with the photos. It said that both Birkhead and Stern were present when the stone was placed.

19 freida1 December 15, 2008 at 8:54 PM

Yeah, and I bet Virgie was there, too.

I kinda think there’s a whole lot we will never know.

Hi QV,
Hope your girls are great, and hope you all have a wonderful Christmas.
I think you’re a little younger than me, but I wonder if you remember Alice Cooper and Soupy Sales?

Never mind me…just have yourselves a Merry Little Christmas…or to be more ‘politically correct’…have yourself a nice Holiday…and Buy, Buy, Buy!!!!

LOL

20 QV December 15, 2008 at 9:13 PM

Hi Freida,
We are all doing fine. Hope the same for you and yours. I do remember Soupy Sales and Alice Cooper :-)

21 freida1 December 15, 2008 at 9:43 PM

Well they’re not gone and forgotten…that’s good.

Can’t say too, much or I might get into trouble, LOL.

And, really I’m not very good at putting up a fight, or arguing…I’d just as soon lie flat on my back and play possum, or something.

Anyway, guess there’s only like 9 days left…kinda like Larry was on a deadline to get that stone in place…when all it really is, is a rock…carved and shaped and etched…reminds me of plastic surgery.

22 Carole December 15, 2008 at 11:23 PM

ewwwwww….I remember Alice Cooper too. I could never figure out why I could adore KISS, but couldn’t get into Alice Cooper(I don’t think it had anything to do with biting the head off a rat?). I remember the name Soupy Sales, but can’t remember anything else. Now, Bon Jovi….I remember very well! lol

23 freida1 December 17, 2008 at 11:40 PM

Maybe the world really is ‘flat,’ do you know that ‘key?’

It’s called ‘sad’ to me.

What’s to figure out?

Seems pretty simple to me.

I just really like making it more complex.

Now if I talked about KISS, that would get down right dirty, about the tongue, or the length of it…and all that nasty make-up.

24 justbetweenus March 4, 2009 at 7:07 AM

Poor Anna.:( Or I should say Dannilynn. She more then likley had to pay for her and Daniel’s stone, from the sale of her home, because no one loved her enough to pay out of their own pocket with the money they made from her death, and pimping her daughter. So sad.
