The United States Drug Enforcement Administration today assisted in serving a search warrant along with the California Medical Board in a raid on Dr. Sandeep Kapoor’s office. Dr Kapoor is said to have allegedly prescribed Methadone to Anna Nicole Smith when she was pregnant with her daughter Dannielynn. The drugs were said to be prescribed to an alias “Michelle Chase”. California law prohibits prescribing drugs for one person in another persons name.
Anna Nicole Smith died almost two years ago at the Hard Rock Hotel in Hollywood Florida of a drug overdose.
This is the second raid on Dr. Kapoor. He and Smith’s psychiatrist Dr. Khristine Eroshevich were raided by the California Medical Board and California Attorney General Jerry Brown in October of 2007.
TMZ.com picked up the story and says there is a Howard K. Stern “connection“. Shortly after TMZ posted their article, there was an update and statement from Stern.
UPDATE: Howard K. Stern just released this statement to TMZ: “Dr. Kapoor never prescribed Anna Nicole medication in my name — and that is what the Medical Board will find out.”
Coincidentally, investigators Don Clark and WV working for the O’Quinn Law Firm who represents Anna Nicole’s mother Virgie Arthur, are also in California today in connection with her case which they are working on for the firm.

Of course, Howie will deny any involvement. He’s already made a statement that Kapoor didn’t write scripts in Howie’s name for Anna. I’ll bet he’s written in many others, however. I wonder if Dr. E is cooperating with the DEA investigation?

anon..any idea why TMZ may have falsely accused Howard as the reason for the raid? Like many others I got involved in the Casey/Caylee case and admit to getting somewhat behind in this story. The last I heard TMZ was very pro Larry/Howard, so this leaves me really curious.
That said, I must high five everyone of you for continuing to fight for justice, for Anna, Daniel, and Vergie.
While many have moved on to other cases like the Casey/Caylee case, QV, and others have kept your promise to Virgie, Anna, and Daniel that you would be here for them fighting for justice until the end.I just know they must feel so very appreciative,and proud for everything you all are doing for them. I am with you QV! I am just glad to hear that the case is still on going. I do wonder if Dr. Kapoor could end up being a scapegoat. After all HKS was at Dr. E’s the day of the raids not Dr. K’s. But, Dr. K’s prescription was what killed Daniel not Anna. Could the scope of this investigation be broadening to include Daniel’s death?
I would love for that to happen Mrs. Marple. IMO, if ever there was an “intentional” death, Daniel’s most surely was.

Carole, you do have a point that one as it still boggles my mind how he got the methadone to begin with. I highly doubt I think he would have brought that drug down with him.

If i remember correctly, Daniel went to visit dr.e the night before he left to see Anna. Why would he go there, did Anna send him there, did Dr, E, give him the pills??? so many questions. Or did Anna, as a good mother, give her son, something to help him sleep, because he was so tired, and could,nt go to sleep. why did Anna scream, I’m sorry I’m sorry in the tent at Daniels grave site??

Regarding the Methadone, didn’t Dr. Hern say something about the amount of methadone in his bloodstream at the time of death indicated that the methadone was injected?
What a sad world we live it. I just saw on the Insider that Dannielynne will be on the Reality Show with LB. So what everyone knew all along was true, he will continue to exploit her for the rest of her life and him and Howard will continue with their lies about what really went on. Such a shame.
