Two doctors, lawyer charged with conspiracy to furnish drugs to Anna Nicole Smith
LOS ANGELES – Two doctors and a lawyer were charged today with conspiring to furnish drugs to Anna Nichole Smith prior to her death in 2007, the District Attorney’s office announced today.
Three conspiracy charges naming the defendants were filed this afternoon in a felony complaint for arrest warrant (BA 3253907). They were variously charged in eight other felony counts.
Filing of the case by the Major Narcotics Division culminated an investigation involving the offices of the California State Attorney General and Los Angeles County District Attorney, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, the California Medical Board and the California Department of Insurance.
Named in the complaint are doctors Sandeep Kapoor, 40 (dob 5-20-1968), and Khristine Eroshevich, 61 (dob 11-8-1947), and attorney Howard Kevin Stern, 40 (dob 11-29-1968). Arraignment dates for the defendants have not yet been scheduled. Bail was recommended at $20,000 for each defendant.
The conspiracy counts alleged that the three defendants conspired to furnish controlled substances to Smith from between June 5, 2004, and January 26, 2007.
Kapoor and Stern were charged with one count of unlawfully prescribing a controlled substance between June 9, 2004, and Sept. 22, 2006. Eroshevich and Stern were charged with unlawfully prescribing a controlled substance between June 5, 2004, and Jan. 26, 2007.
Kapoor and Eroshevich each was charged with one count of obtaining a prescription for opiates by “fraud, deceit or misrepresentation.” Each also was charged with one count of obtaining a prescription for opiates by giving a false name or address.
Kapoor and Stern were charged with one count of “prescribing, administering or dispensing a controlled substance to an addict.” Eroshevich was charged with the same crime in a separate count.

What is Stern doing in Fl. I thought he lived in Ca. and would never leave the Bahamas because of his love for Anna and Daniel.

Just keep it all in perspective by remembering all the individuals who were either complicit or were around to witness what Stern and the doctors were doing over the last four years (e.g., Birkhead) and especially during the last five months of Anna’s life. Keep Daniel’s death, Dannielynn’s custody battle and the Marshall litigation on the front burner.
A true and accurate picture emerges.
I am so thrilled this day has finally come. A whole lot of people with egg on their face to put it mildly thinking these people could get by with it. Thank you Q.V. for posting this, I was in total shock.
