The Associated Press is reporting that actress Natasha Richardson has died today. From an  8:04 PM EST press release:

Alan Nierob of Rogers & Cowan said in a statement Wednesday night: “Liam Neeson, his sons, and the entire family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Natasha. They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time.”

Ms Richardson won a Tony Award for her performance in a stage revival of “Cabaret”. One of my favorites she appeared in was “The Parent Trap” with Lindsay Lohan and Dennis Quaid.

She was married to Actor Liam Neeson whom she had two sons with. A sad and tragic accident.

So sad, i have been following this story since it happened. She was a great lady and actress.
My thoughts are with her family. I loved her in parent trap.
Makes you realize how short life really is. You never know when your time is up.

She was a great actress.

Wonder how much of ‘one’s self’ is reflected in a ‘role?’

Just seems to me, I saw a ‘reflection’ of what she may have been like in real life.

Same goes for her husband and family…

I’m sure they will miss her, and remember her very much.

This is so tragic & so sad.
Prayers go out to Natasha’s family & friends.
A life cut short so suddenly & without rhyme or reason.
Sad…

Life is precious & one never knows when their time on earth is going to be up.
Some of the individuals who make fun of me & Mrs. Marple for our health might just find themselves in the same or worse condition before they leave this world.
As my Cherokee/German grandmother used to say…”Be nice to everyone as you never know who will be the one to give you your last drink of water”.
The very person you ask might be one you have treated badly & might refuse your request.

This is very sad. Such a tragedy for this family. This has got to be devistating on their chldren too. Also, it seems to me that TMZ is living up to its wonderful name too by getting into the face of a grieving husband just hours after his beloved wife passed away! Unreal!

Nice comments everyone.

I was thinking too that its so easy to be careless. I just did it myself. My carbon monoxide alarm went off day before yesterday. It did it four times and I kept resetting it after each.

I finally thought, well I better call the fire department and I opened all the windows. So you know what I did then? I straightened up the house and took a shower. After I goofed around with that stuff, I called the FD. It a good thing the alarm was malfunctioning and not a real CO2 emergency.

The unventilated bathroom could have been the end.It was just technical failure but think about how stupid I was.

They say the squad for Ms. Richardson was not called until four hours after the accident. It was surely because she felt just fine. I know if I was ok, I would not to to the hospital either. Well, now, I would after seeing how quick she was gone. And if the alarm goes off again, Ill get out of the house immediately and call the FD.
