Someone I consider a friend wrote in an email to me recently “That saga has run my life and feelings for too long, and I decided to not let any of them have any more power to run my life as that is what was happening to all of us”.
I will follow in my friends path. Ill check on it occasionally like I have and I will not comment on it.
I will continue to hope and Pray that Justice is served for Anna and Daniel and most of all for Dannielynn may she have the love of all those who truly loved her mother, the chance to know her Grandma (Grandmothers are voices of the past) and that she grows into a beautiful well adjusted young lady. That said………

Well I guess I’ll be the first to post here. It’s regarding the Blago indictment. I’m glad a judge in Chicago has ruled against Blago going to Costa Rica to film that reality show he was asked to be on “I’m a celebrity… Get me out of here.”
Watched this on FoxNews Chicago at noon and experts were weighing in that this man does not seem to understand the seriousness of these charges against him. Something is wrong with this man’s mind I think.

Read this. This is so sad that the cop didn’t take a report file a report. Obviously the child was taken or the police wouldn’t have been called to report her missing. The grandmother found out and called Melissa and I guess let her know people were looking for that child.
Even if the mom would have been accused of the child getting her meds which it wasn’t the case, it should have been reported. I guess the cop thought he was doing the mom a favor but Melissa did admit that they came and talked to her. Guess this whole Sunday School Teacher lie worked and the media is still saying that she taught Sunday school. I read that they Church hasn’t had any services there for several years.

CHICAGO (AP) — NBC says it’s disappointed indicted former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich can’t go to Costa Rica to tape a reality TV show but it isn’t moving the show to the U.S. to accommodate him.
A federal judge in Chicago has denied the ousted governor’s request to leave the country to tape NBC’s “I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here!”
Blagojevich has pleaded not guilty to a host of federal corruption charges. His bond doesn’t let him leave the country.
Still, Blagojevich had asked to go to Costa Rica for the show, which is similar to “Survivor.”
An attorney representing Blagojevich’s brother in the corruption case says NBC had been contacted about possibly moving the show.
NBC says in a statement, “There are no plans to move the show” a U.S. location.

Mish, thanks for that update and this link, great find. I’ve heard that he is seriously having money problems and could even loose his house. This show was going to pay him somewhere in the neighborhood of 300,000 dollars as people are saying “he is getting desperate in his financial situation.”
He is such an idiot though. Every time he comes out of the courthouse at the Dirksen Federal Building in Chicago (his arraignment day and his motion today) he acts like he is a rock star and its sickening to me.

ish think thepolice were afraid to use their right to explore the situation. Maybe because her grandfather is the preacher, and friends of most around there. BUT the grand daughter was living with them for a reason, and I wonder what that was. Was it because they knew more about her, and did not trust her with her own daughter. They did have on going services, and Melissa was right there surounded by all of her little potential victims. Hi mish, qv just got home, and it is so HOT out there. I was looking for a fan to install above my bed, but what do I kbow about doing that?”NUTTIN, so my brother is going with me on Fri. I got this weed spray to spray my New Lawn, and guess what?? It was a weed and GRASS killer. so i had to go out and water all night to see if I could wash it off, I won’t know for a day or two. That is what I get for having too much to do all at once, so I am judt worring about one thing at a time. Anyway, i hope qv feels better, anfd I hope Mish is hugging her son.. v

I know I couldnt do any volunteer work at my daughters school until my Cori was renewed.Someone dropped the ball on that. Then again her grandfather being the Preacher didnt do it thinking he knew his granddaughter. The only thing any background check would only show up if she was charged and convicted. So if it is all things coming out now even doing a CORI would not have helped. Scares a parent with young children.

I hope your Grass is okay. Maybe if you sprinkle Grass seed and keep it watered it might help. Be careful installing that fan. make sure you use the bracket that holds it into the ceiling. I have a friend who installed one herself and didnt use the bracket she put the fan on and the vibration losened it and BANG!!! I dont know how an educated woman could be so stupid :)…..LOL. I DID hug my son I was so happy to see him. Good to have him home. We went to pick up his Tux and he tried it on OH MY he looked so grown up and Handsome. He was looking at himself and says with a grin geeez didnt think I could look so good. I said to the woman Im glad we decided on the Tux instead of his suit. he looks good in the suit but the Tux makes it so much nicer.
OH and make a list of things to do.One side Priority and one just to be done. Add to it when neccesary and just do one thing at a time. Dont worry about the rest until the first is done. It will all come together.
I think I am letting my brother put the fan in, because there needs to be an electrical box put uo too. I hate it when they do not put ceiling lights in rooms. 3 of mine have to be done, so not to worry Mish. Where the heck can I buy dish towels and dish cloths (dish rags to us Southerners) to match? I used to see them every where but not it’s dish towels, pot holders and oven mitts to match. The only dish cloths I can find are solid color “bar mops”. See how serious this is? Anyone have a solution?

Lucy, have you tried Walmart, Kmart or those type of places? Or If you have a TJ Maxx, they have nice separates but its random. Sometimes they have certain items in stock and then not others.
If you want to look online, there is Overstock.com and Buy.com. UM, we have a Bed Bath and Beyond. Kind of expensive but good selections. One more. Burlington Coat Factory? I love that place. I know what you are talking about. You want your dish towels and dish rags to match. I gotcha. If I see something else, Ill let you know.
QV, I have checked Walmart, Kmart, Target, Bed, Bath and Beyond and all the dollar stores. I used to buy some at Fred’s Dollar Store but they’ve joined the “pot holder” gang. If I ever find them again I’m going to really, REALLY stock up. lol

For the last few days I’ve gotten emails from people I have no clue who they are. They are usually just a cute cartoon or something, and are always from women who act like they know who I am. I know that a lot of people here have my email address, and I love emails but IF one of you should send me one please put your screen name somewhere so I’ll know it’s from a friend.
Another possibility is that a few people I email with send these “chain letter” emails with about forty other names on them. I always delete any name other than the person to whom I’m sending, but it seems they don’t take the hint. Next thing you know up pops another email with enough names to fill a church. Maybe they’re just emailing everyone on the list they have.
QV the grass looks a little pale. I did damage, but I aint coppin to it. I did spread seed to day, and hope it takes soon. But the good new, is the weeds are dying too. I > If anyone wants dish towels, the dollar stoore has a lot of them. Me I like white towels, so I can bleach them all together. I but the packs of washcloths, and use half for my dishes, and the other half where they belong. When I have had them for a ling time, and they are really dingy, I use them for cleaning. I buy the bunch of hand towels and use them for wiping dishes.. they are really inexpensive . I but the white cheap towels at Walmart, because they are thin, I do not like the fat fluffy towels.i have a robe like that. I buy the biggest ones for the bath, they are about 4.00 But i put some nice ones out for no one to use.I can’t remember the last time I dried me or anything with a colored towel. I can also see off I got all the dirt off when I dry me. I hate to spend money for those kinds of things. Even my puppies have white towels . So I guess I must be a nut, but i sure have a lot of people around me who have started doing the same thing. No more dark linty towels for me.
I get those types of e-mails too.Most I delete without reading.
Lucy, good luck with your search. Vee has an interesting solution. Where I live our water is horrible and I’m always on the lookout for dark dish towels. They are hard to find but perhaps I should take Vee’s advice and get all white and just bleach them all the time.
I just really like pretty dishtowels. I do agree with vee about the thinner towels. I like thin bath towels ad especially thin wash cloths. I want to be able to wash my ears! And vee, I also have the thirsty towels for show. Sometimes I notice that they have a tiny line of dust on the fold. lol
QV, if your water is bad I’m betting that your white towels would still look a bit dingy even after the bleaching. The final rinse water would still be yucky.

Have you read ‘the labels’ lately.
Seems most of the time you’re not supposed to use ‘real’ bleach.
I like the pretty colored towels for display. Yet, for my personal use (especially for little ears) I like them thin, and colorless.
Seems although we may disagree sometimes we have something in common.

I do’nt know what to do with all of the STUFF in my garage, that i packed over here from my bigger house. I seem to be getting along fione without it. i wonder if i will miss anything if I JUST CLOSE MY EYES AND LET IT ALL GO. I tried to go through some of it today, but I was not interested. I think i may need the spaggiti sauce for tonight. Bit there is so much other things, . Oh well, I sleep on it I guess. My grass looks crappy. I think I will gwt somwe gren paint and paint it, untill it gets healthy . Good idea huh??

The same thing happened with us. When we moved to our new house I was working full time and when i was home the last thing I wanted to do was unpack boxes. If I needed something I went out and bought it, Eventually I did go through everything alot I donated to homeless shelters some stuff I had a yard sale and made a few dollars.
There is a company that paints grass green(not the spray stuff with seed) this is actual painting. It is used alot for homes for sale for “curb appeal”.
Today is nice, unlike the HOT weekend we had. I slept alot my allergies were really bad. Today Isnt to bad. Its dryer and cooler. Hubby took the day off and is out doing yard work.
My son had a good time at his Prom, he looked so handsome in his Tux. His date looked very pretty. Next up is graduation time. My daughter has a band concert and a play for theater club that she is in. So we will be busy.

I have been reading “the Mighty Queens of Freeville” and the town that raised them. By Amy Dickinson. I love it its pretty witty.
The Mighty Queens of Freeville: A Mother, a Daughter, and the Town That Raised Them is a memoir by Amy Dickinson, the author of the syndicated advice column Ask Amy. It was released on february 3rd, 2009 by Hyperion Books.
On the publication date, Dickinson appeared on Good Morning America and the following day she appeared on The View to promote the memoir, which chronicles her experiences with divorce and single motherhood and her life in a family that is predominantly made up of women. There weekly ad says you can access coupons. I try and it says I havent found any keep hunting. I click on specials and it keeps saying it. Yet at the top it has coupon specials like save $X dollars on spending X amount. But it wont let me click.
Any ideas how to get these coupons?

I sent you both[3] the link to the 10yr. old from Britain, My brother sent it to me, after i sent him the Susan Boyle one. I haven’t watched it yet. But I still watch Susan’s a lot. inspiring to say the least.It is too windy today to go out side. I got all my clothes hung in the closets. i have a humongous closet in my bed room, that is a big plus.I bought a security door for my front, and it will be installed tomorrow. I picked out a ceiling fan for my bedroom I have to go pick up, and a built in glass door for my tub and shower. I hate that curtain in there. If there is a little breeze, the curtain flutters in onto my legs, and is cold has hell. So away with it.I bought a 7×7 shed for my outdoors to put all my yard tools in. and any boxes that will fit. I have so many tools, I am going to sell. I won’t be using big saws anymore or chain saws. I like my battery run ones. Any way my son in Benica and his wife got the flu really bad. She came back from Russia last week and the plane had 33 kids blowing and hacking in it, so 4 days later she got sick, then 2 days ago my son came down with it. I will call tonight to see of i need to go there. Well, to feed my puppies, is the next step. see ya gals

I hope they do not have that SWINE FLU.
I am thinking that may be what they have, They are pretty sick. And more people around ca. are getting it, It is just over spring break, and droves of kids went there , so many are sick now.
Sorry, I forget, that everyone is not close to Mexico for spring break. that is where most of the kids go there at that time, so they are coming home with the bug.

Oh Lord, someone mentioned cleaning out the garage. I have the whole garage full of left over craft supplies and display equipment. I am ready to take the whole shebang to the landfill but every time I mention it my husband starts talking about a yard sale. No thank you. Half the people who visit yard sales here have to go to the bathroom. Of course, that’s to get inside your house. And many of them have a whole gaggle of kids with them and they all need to pee, so what are you going to do? I say, take that crap and dump it! If I can ever catch him gone, and my son on an off day (from work) I’m going to get rid of about half of it by calling the kid to come help me load up.

You should look into a After school program or summer camp for kids. Something like the YMCA or Boys and girls club. You could even see if your town sponsors a summer arts and craft program Donate it all. Call the school see if the Art dept. might like to take it off your hands.

I hope they are feeling better soon. Be sure they dont brush it off as just “the flu”. Better safe than sorry. You should keep your distance too until they are both well.
