Did you see on msn entertainment that ANS’ father Don Hogan wants to join with Virgie and sue HKS for wrongful death? I would hope Virgie would not hook up with him.
Also, another Dr. in KS. charged w/36 counts of unlawfully distributing controlled substances that include OxyContin, hydrocodone and fentanyl. A Wichita pharmacist was charged in the same federal indictment with seven counts of unlawfully distributing controlled substances.
Prosecutors confirmed Wed. that Simons once worked at the Schneider Medical Clinic in Haysville, KS, but they said his case was not connected with the criminal charges against the clinic’s owners. Stephen Schneider and his wife, Linda, are awaiting trial on federal charges that they illegally overprescribed narcotics through the clinic, contributing to the deaths of four people.
According to the new indictments, King is accused of arranging for a man to drive a vehicle from Kansas City to Wichita in exchange for prescriptions written by Simons.
The indictment said Simons also wrote prescriptions to three other people who were not his patients.
A conviction on a charge of unlawfully distributing controlled substances carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a fine up to $1million.
