Wednesday August 12th was set for the start of the Preliminary Hearing in the felony drug charge cases against three people who are accused of furnishing drugs to a known addict, the late Anna Nicole Smith.

Former attorney for Anna Nicole, Howard K. Stern and her two doctors, Sandeep Kapoor and Khristine Eroshevich were set to start an estimated two week hearing on Wednesday. Apparently, one of the defendants wants the their case to be tried separately and that created scheduling conflicts.

October 5th is the new date for the Preliminary Hearing in Los Angeles Superior Court.

Carole, so now, I wonder if we will see a ruling from Judge Chin soon? Someone was suggesting Chin may have been waiting for that to be over to make his ruling.

I wouldn’t doubt it, even if they are ever ‘convicted’ ‘of something’ untoward (reminds me of the name Howard)…that maybe they just ‘professionally’ cared the most for Anna…

Maybe ‘backstage’….

?

QV, hey, Chin doesn’t need to wait. He should make his ruling on the evidence presented so far, not anything going on in California. Of course, he probably is.lol

Definately a last ditch attempt to get the suit dismissed before making a plea. I think the chances are quite low that this makes it to trial- not necessarily because of the validity of the claims, but because no one wants to face a jury or a sentancing judge for this sort of thing in the wake of the Michael Jackson drug-death investigation. I would think the only reason HKS might be willing to face a jury is because he could (or would certainly) be disbared after pleaing. And that would end is attempt to recoup his massive fees on the wild goose chase that is Marshall v. Marshall.

Seriously?

Kinda think things went ‘quit’ while the getting was good…

Reminds me of absence of malice…

Guess I really should look that up…

But it t’wasn’t the ‘title’ t’was the pure thought of the meaning of those words.

Something real hard to digest these days with so much free speech.
