Howard K.Stern’s attorney Christopher Smith, served Houston attorney Tom Pirtle and O’Quinn Law Firm investigators Don Clark and Wilma Vice with a subpoena commanding them to be present in a Houston Courtroom first thing last Thursday morning. I had previously asked in a prior article, what the heck for? They were to appear as “material witnesses” in Stern and two doctors preliminary hearing for felony drug charges, but as we all know, they never knew Anna Nicole or her son or the doctors or Howard K. Stern nor anyone associated with them.
Clark was still in California where he got kicked out of the courtroom as an observer due to the subpoena, but Vice and Pirtle appeared in Harris County court and were ordered to travel to Los Angeles to testify as hostile witnesses for Howard Stern’s defense. Clark and Vice engaged Neil McCabe to represent each of them so all three were present in Los Angeles this morning and ready to testify.
McCabe stood up identified himself and recounted why he and his two clients were present. He also related that he contacted attorney Smith to iron out details and make sure they had to be there on this day. Smith said he responded to the inquiry but McCabe told Judge Perry, Smith did not respond and his clients had no choice but to do as ordered by Harris County since it was stipulated that if they did not appear, they could be taken into custody. Obviously Smith did not respond because Vice and Clark were there. The judge asked Smith if he even knew for sure that he would call Clark and Vice. Smith admitted not only did he not know when he would want the two on the stand but he could not state that he would call them at all period.
McCabe requested that the two potential witnesses be allowed to go back to Texas. Judge Perry agreed with the stipulation that the two could possibly be called later but really did not think so.
Stern is responsible for all costs of transporting and lodging for any witnesses and I hope time lost from work and their attorney fees. Stern had graciously made reservations for them at the Roach Motel, I mean the Metro Plaza Hotel, Los Angeles. It goes without saying that the potential witnesses and their attorney made other lodging arrangements. Stern didn’t like that and made a pouty face.

Courtroom observers said Judge Perry was not at all pleased with Larry Birkhead’s two million dollar take since he won the Anna Nicole baby lottery. After all, the news is the baby and not Birkhead. If Birkhead earned two million, how much did the baby earn? With most child celebs, the parent is paid a manager fee and the rest is put away for the child. I also noticed that Howard K. Stern did not arrive in a limo last week for court. He was driving a brand new Mercedes. He must be doing very well for himself these days. But Anna Nicole Smiths estate just got lien-ed on for over $125,000 to the IRS and almost $50,000 to California.
Stern and his new ride behind him? The Mercedes can also be seen in this video as he loads his junk into the trunk.

When I heard about this yesterday and all the laughing about it made me sick. The place is nasty but the fact they thought it was soooooooo funny tells it all, man the way their sick minds work.
IMO they are saying because Neil had to go as far as he did to get the defendants to comply with court orders that it gave them the right to treat them this way. I believe their web site told the story, it was all about “revenge”. It’s disturbing to say the least. God, as if Stern doesn’t have enough problems he goes instigates more problems.

Stern seems to be acting out some sort of fantasy in that shot….probably his parent’s ride.
That was a seriously nasty motel and I wouldn’t have wanted to stay there either. I do believe they upgraded to a better class. I still don’t understand why hearsay witnesses were wanted at a preliminary hearing anyway.
They weren’t needed, it’s about revenge and the way Stern seems to enjoy to play the game and then can’t figure out why he has so many problems or looked at by the majority with disdain. He blames everyone else and plays the “victim drama” or poor pitiful me card and thinks it helps his case. The more he shows the public the more he convinces us we are right.

Are you so jealous that I got a bit of first hand info that you have to start the attacks again? You don’t know if anything is put away for Dannielynn. Its her life that is always the subject of the interviews. Her father should get nothing more than a manager fee or is that HKS’s take? She is being leeched off of like a mini Anna Nicole. Someone really needs to step in and protect her interests and get her a guardian ad litem.

QV, I’m not going to get into the Turner thing but my only advise to you is ignore them. I understand it is difficult when under attack by them but they are what they are and giving them attention is all the crave. She wants a war with you because she likes the drama, it’s as simple as that. The kind of attention she seeks is quite sad and the kind of life they enjoy with all the drama is even sadder. You are a much better person, write better and have some pretty good instincts about this case. I pray that woman does not get to you again in life. She just doesn’t deserve any of our energy.

Hi everyone, been so busy with my new job…loving it! How good it feels to be busy again, how I missed work.
Wanted to say thinking of you all and hoping everyone is doing alright in this horrible economy. Such a life altering affect on so many of us but at least the rich are getting richer LOL! A lot of the work is overseas. Our work will be back but it’s going to be in different fields.
