It appears that press reports of Anna Nicole Smith hating her mother and having nothing to do with her are not quite true. The following is a letter written by Anna Nicole to her mother Virgie Arthur. Mrs. Arthur has said at times that her daughter reminded her often to not listen to press reports where Anna dramatized her history and family. She told her Mom that drama sold better than the truth.
In the letter Anna Nicole expresses her love and says son Daniel misses his grandmother.
At the end of the page is a court document which is a copy of the letter but since it is hard to read, here is a transcript. I fixed some but not all of the spelling for clarity.

Hello there thanks for your letter and all the up date on the fam. I think its to bad Shana moved to Houston.
I no how close yall were. Sorry. Im glad Dino’s home and has Donnie with him. How is Dino Really?? After jail and all.
Where is his ex wife?? Tell David I really misshim would yea well are you happy?? Are you rid of you know who yet??
Hope so. I’m not happy never have been really. Verylonely mom. I no how you’ve felt with men!! As I use to watch you
so unhappy, think’n you were. Enough of that. Wish I could Seeall the Kids. I bet Jenny’s a real dish!! Would love to
have a family photo of all. Its just me and Daniel here but I want to get pregnant and have another baby before Daniel
Leaves me. Hes so big mom. Such a good boy Straight A student. Im a bit hard on his schoolin only because I know he
can do it. I dont have anyone but I’ll find someone just to get preg and not let him no. Is that so bad. I don’t think so,
men are pigs. I raised Daniel and look at him my pride and joy. No man to help. Dont want any one to tell me about my
Kids!! Well I was 3 months preg. but lost the baby due to stress it nearly killed me. I was devastated was another boy.
The case is not till Sept. So I think nows the best time to try what do ya think?? Well this enough blubber for a while. Will
you write back?? Danielmisses you. He’s playin baseball rite now. When season he plays Football.

Thank you! thank you! thank you! That is most definitely Anna’s handwriting, but what a sad letter in retrospect. She was lonely.
I know she was lonely. this letter is showing that Anna did not want to be with Larry. Also nothing to do with Stern either.

It shows a lot doesn’t it. The drugs helped her forget about her loneliness. And Stern was there and had been there. She didn’t love him. I don’t know how I could have been so blind after she died. She was isolated, brainwashed and so cranked up and paranoid on the drugs during that ET interview, she didn’t know what was real.
Virgie is proof a little ‘fast food’ is good for you.
And there’s still a chance Anna and Daniel are alive and living in ‘paradise’ somewhere “Over The Rainbow.”
I’m a believer, sometimes.
And so much for finding out ‘the truth’ on line…came up bald.

Freida, she looks very different. The stress of what has happened caused her to lose weight and even though I can imagine she will never stop hurting inside, she looks very nice. Some time ago, I saw a short interview on Geraldo by brother Craig and her appearance had really changed.
