Judge Robert Perry who is presiding over the first phase of the jury selection in the Anna Nicole Smith drug conspiracy trial is telling potential jurors that its a high profile case they will involved in.
One woman who was questioned looked at Howard K. Stern and said she didn’t like him because he let Anna Nicole push him around on the late model’s television reality show. She was given one of the 14 page questionnaires and told to complete it and report for more extensive questioning on August 2nd.
Questions being asked for example are, what drugs they have used and their medical histories. They are also being asked if a doctor ever made house calls for them, have they ever received a prescription without a doctor visit and have they or anyone they know ever abused prescription drugs.
Prospects are being forbidden to watch or read any news about the case until its decided if they will be jurors or not.
There are 94 potential witnesses on a list given out with the questionnaire who include Larry Birkhead, bodyguard Moe Brighthupt and his wife Taz and the two Haitian Nannies who no one seems to know the location of.
Dr. Perper, the Florida medical examiner who declared Smith’s death to be an accidental overdose is also on the list.
The trial is expected to last three months.

Hey, QV, didn’t I read that the nannies had been located (don’t ask me where I read it, not sure)? I do believe that Santiago at least has interviewed them. I would love for them to be there to actually testify.

I don’t believe California prosecuters even considered a plea bargin in this nor would they at this point. They’ve ridden far, long and wide to run this gang down. They didn’t travel the country and beyond to settle this with a plea bargin. The California prosecuters have so much evidence that they hardly need witnesses. The paper trail doesn’t lie.
I think that’s why the doctors in particular are flailing about like fish out of water, coming up with excuses like, I’m gay and they are picking on me”. They wish they could plea bargin. Evidence is also in “swims” desperate postings. He has been at it for some time trying to discredit Brown, the prosecution, Team Texas and all the witnesses. I expect that “swims” will get worse as the trial goes on if he is still blogging. LOL! Wasn’t there something about those involved not blogging on TMZ?
I would love to know why Ersohevitch is on her fourth lawyer. Either she is not cooperating with her lawyers; lying to them; not paying them or….. after her attorneys reviewed all the evidence is upset that the lawyers advised her to plead guilty in the hopes they could get her a lessor sentence. She switched horses too many times in the stream. That certainly does not bode well for her case.
IMO Based on the evidence we have seen so far I predict that since the three of them have chosen to fight off what appears to be the envitable “guilty as charged” and not pleaded guilty, they will get maximum jail sentences. Of course all three will lose their licenses, not that Stern ever really used his.
My specialty is burning bridges.
However love to build one first!!!

I’ve been a little, well more than a little distracted lately to tell the truth. Seems that’s not the case much these days.
We will never see Stern or the docs behind bars…it’s not entirely their fault.

Speaking of ‘tired’…seems we used to give a sht…then everyone ‘bailed’ not ready to fight or stand beside her…’cept maybe for her Mother…and her Mother’s apprentice.
I have no idea anymore who guilty except for Anna herself, and Daniel for his self. Seems they had no good will, or just got a little lost or ‘aside-did.’
Go fish…sure was a shame Daniel wasn’t surrounded by better people. Can you imagine growing up the way he did…doubt he had the ability to understand his ABC’s before learning stuff that grown men still don’t understand.
