Texas Judge William Adams, who is shown brutally beating his daughter Hillary in a YouTube video that has gone viral says he does not think his conduct will cause him to be disciplined. This article by a Houston, Texas lawyer outlines how the Judge could indeed face a proverbial firing squad.
Everyone has a different parenting style. My fathers approach was different from my mother’s. Mine is different from both. I did not ever have to spank or strike my children. My method was to hold their arm or hand, look them in the eye and tell them to look at me and I spoke to them about what they did and why it was not correct. At times I had to appear a bit harsh, but beating a kid? Not in my house. And it worked. Of course grounding or restrictions were also an option.
This judge went way over the top in what he did to his daughter. This same judge has presided over family law cases involving children. That in itself is a scary thought when imagining an abused child could have been sent back to a parent who like Judge Adams thinks nothing of beating a child and dropping the “F” bomb for over seven minutes for a minor infraction.
Sphere: Related Content“In my mind, I haven’t done anything wrong other than discipline my child after she was caught stealing,” Adams said. “And I did lose my temper, but I’ve since apologized.”
When told of her father’s comments, Hillary Adams said, “It’s a shining perfect example of his personality and he believes he can do no wrong. … He will cover up rather than admit to what he did and try to come clean, which is what I really want him to do.”

Hi QV….well said!
I just happened to turn my tv channel to Dr. Drew’s show and saw the end of that video of that scumbag beating his disabled child with a belt/weapon. I have NEVER been so sickened in all my life….and then to find out he’s a damn judge in family courts!?! WTF???
We ALL need to do what we can as parents/grandparents to stop this violence against ALL children! Instead of occupying wall street they should be occupying all these child abusers homes starting with that judge’s home!!!
I soooooo agree Thangs! Did you read that officials declined to charge him criminally due to statute of limitations? That is so disgusting. Well at least they can remove him from the bench. I so hope they do.
I watched that video once and can’t even stand to watch it again. So I can not imagine how that poor little girl felt.
The good news is, I went over to YouTube to leave her a note and she was still getting supportive comments every few seconds. And although I am not much of a Nancy Grace fan, she said, “Judge, I’m coming to get you.” I bet she will too. Hope you are doing well…
We often hear from those who fight to uphold this practice for those under the age of 18 (even to the blaming of the social maladies of the day on a supposed “lack” of it), but we rarely, if ever, find advocates for the return of corporal punishment to the general adult community, college campuses, inmate population, or military. Why is that?
Ask ten unyielding proponents of child/adolescent/teenage-only “spanking” about the “right” way to do it, and what would be abusive, indecent, or obscene, and you will get ten different answers.
These proponents should consider making their own video-recording of the “right way” to do it.

I’m good. How about you?
I am so not a fan of Nancy Grace but in this instance only I say Go Nancy! She better go back on what she said.
I see Swims the slanderer is still in hiding, eh? Talk about a chicken shit. Wuss. lol
Haha! You got it! The Stern supporters said he didn’t do anything wrong. Then why is he hiding?
MMead. Great idea! I would love to see some of those videos.
